A Gracious Intervention at Kasar Devi Cave

When all human efforts reach the pinnacle of alignment and expression, Divine Grace descends into the body and elevates the spirit to its pinnacle state of expression. The journey of ascension is possible through liberation, which is the true game-changer. All our philosophy, rituals, beliefs, techniques and ideals can only scratch the surface of the oceanic possibilities in the journey of liberation. The design of Maya has given us enough fear, drama and lures on this planet to continue to be entangled. A few of us derive the courage, awareness and activation to rise above social conditioning.

We are meant to explore and access the gifts of life. The joys of discovering and unravelling the sacred design of our body are truly rewarding. We can calibrate our yogic practices in the comforts of our home or choose to travel to a magnetic grid in the Himalayas to accelerate our spiritual quest. A few of us who have the ability to tune into intuitive guidance will invariably listen to the ‘cosmic whisper’ that ushers us into higher awareness. For some of us, it will prove enough to take a journey to these radiant Himalayan spaces to truly access the gifts of grace from Masters in their subtle forms (Nirmana-kaya). There is certainly a reward for all our pure efforts. Any devoted being is meant to be enriched from being in the Himalayas. The readiness to receive is invariably distinct in our state of true surrender. Such a pristine state of being will welcome and invoke the guardians of elemental nature to transmit into us. To those who wonder what the effects of such transmissions are, it may not be obvious straight away, as these photons directly realign and reprogram the genetic code to resonate with the frequency of the divine.

The encounters with the Ascended Masters, Living Mystics and Elemental interventions can happen to a ready being anywhere on this planet. Then why travel all the way to the remote caves of Himalayas?  The Himalayas are much more than a spectacular tourist hub with exotic views of snow-clad mountains. It is the greatest spiritual engine of our world. The sanctified caves have been the most enriching research laboratory of nature that has triggered the awakening for countless mystics, yogis, sadhus, and saints. There are no shortcuts to success in any discipline. However, one can avoid many lifetimes of deviant spins if we are graced by guidance at the point of need. I am merely indicating the acceptance required to at least make a start in the right direction.

We are facing a strange situation that has gripped humans through an unpredictable ‘fear factory’ induced by an unseen game-changer called ‘COVID’. The human spirit is under the scanner like never before. The choice between enriching ourselves with breathing natural ‘oxygen’ versus injecting a human-invented ‘vaccine’ is tormenting the terrified masses. While many friends tried hard to convince us to stay to indoors, we chose to take this wild trip in the lap of the Himalayas.

When my friend, Sathish Kakal booked our flight tickets to travel to the glorious Uttarakhand, which is revered as the ‘Devabhoomi’, the land of Gods, we trusted that we will override the inter-state travel limitations and other airport protocols.  As expected, we breezed through the ‘Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun with no such hiccups.

It is never a surprise that the Master Plan always protects the ones who trust it. We were forced to deviate from our planned ‘Rudraprayag’ journey as we were greeted with undeclared road repair works. With no option in sight, we had to change routes and got the opportunity to briefly meditate at the glorious ‘Vashista Cave’ in Shivpuri. We decided to spend the night at any decent hotel at the ‘Jim Corbett Park’. It was a late-night drive and we had no booking for a hotel. We all tried hard to find a hotel room and no calls were being answered.  I looked up in surrender and trusted that at least there would one hotel staff who would honour a direct phone call.

‘Corbett Solitaire Hotel’ popped up from a random google search result and I dialled them. I was pleasantly surprised by the warmth of the tone from the other side. It was their Manager-‘Bhaskar’ who answered our call and welcomed us. In a world of online bookings, we have lost the human touch that is required and relies much more on google ratings to make choices.

Bhaskar is a true hotelier with a large heart in place. He offered us dinner at midnight and even navigated us on the phone through the dark jungle roads with a live-google map pin. En route, we were fortunate enough to spot wild elephants crossing our path. I have always believed in going with the flow and higher guidance is always available at the point of need. We had a wonderful stay at the Corbett Solitaire, and it’s the human connections that defines the quality of service rather than fancy websites that don’t respond when needed most.

We drove down the next morning from Corbett and headed towards Almora. My friend Sathish prodded me “You have told me that you lived in Almora in past lifetimes, can you take us to some high energy spot for meditating”? I said, yes in a few minutes. The masters were definitely guiding us. Our driver stopped the car below a small hillock and said. This is the ‘Kasar devi’ temple and you can visit it.

I am usually not thrilled to visit  popular temples as I find the demands of priests and crowds distorting the sanctified ambience. We deserve to access the purity of the consecrated space in deep silence and solitude.  As we climbed the steps towards the sanctum, we saw a large board that described that ‘Kasar Devi’ temple is built along the ‘Van Allen Belt’. A Van Allen radiation belt is a geomagnetic zone of energetic charged proton particles, most of which originate from the solar wind, that are captured by and held around by that planet’s magnetic field. Earth has two such belts. By trapping the solar wind, the magnetic field deflects those energy  particles and protects the atmosphere from destruction. Interestingly Kasar Devi temple, Machu Picchu in Peru and the Stone Henges in UK are along the same belt.

We noticed a signboard pointing to a Shiva temple which was at the top. We paced up faster and found the temple space welcoming. Losing no time, we sat up there to chant fervently. The Kundalini currents instantly rose up through the spinal channel like lightning and converged into the Bindu Chakra. Not surprisingly, the Himalayan advantage is what makes it truly gracious for spiritual acceleration. The Shiva temple at the top of the hillock is symbolic and the Devi temple below it is clear indication that we require the grace of the Divine Mother to access Shiva, the magnetic power head. The Mother guides us with all the necessary fire power of Kundalini Shakti to raise the spirit and experience the divine union within.

We later descended to the altar of the Kasar Devi. We were surprised that it was a very small space with room for just a handful of people. The priest was busy with his ritual offering at the altar and my eyes wandered a bit and finally settled down at the idol of Maa Kasar Devi.  It is an experience that will be embedded in the soul memory forever. My whole body shuddered for a moment and responded with goose bumps. I have never seen such intensely beautiful eyes in this life time. It was certain that the consecration of the idol was done by the Gandarvas, the celestial musicians. This was stated in the notice board at the entrance. There was an overwhelming feeling of gratitude and surrender that oozed from within. Her eyes were penetrating us and watching over with deep compassion. The presence of the Mother is palpably alive. If we are sensitive enough, we can feel all the shifts happening to the body while standing in front of the Mother. This is the true spiritual heritage of India. These are not mere idols as they are consecrated and brought alive with the gracious consent of the Mother. Space is obviously supercharged by all the elemental forces that guard space.  These intelligent Gandharvas have chosen a Solar Radiation belt that is transmitting the ‘protons’ in abundance. So the choice of geo-location and consecration is based on the sacred principles of cosmology.

I am sure no photograph can do justice to capture the essence of the energies emanating from  Kasar Devi’s idol. Thankfully, the authorities have banned taking pictures which enables us to focus on absorbing the real transmission rather than exploring our photography skills. We basked in this sanctum space with the deepest devotion and eventually stepped out. It was about 3 pm and the Sun shone brightly through the haze. When I looked into the Sun, I saw swirling energy emanating. I did not know anything about the ‘Van Allen’ Radiation Belt at this moment. I was wondering how these waves were impacting the brain. I was pleasantly surprised that when I closed my eyes, I could clearly see the mountain ranges around. This reminded me that under a strong magnetic influence, the ‘phosphorus’ mineral in the brain gets activated and contributes to the ‘luminescence’ in the brain. The impact of watching the sun with naked eyes enables the ‘Retinal Photo-transduction’ which stimulates the optic nerves and sends signals to the ‘suprachiasmatic nuclei’ the light hub in the mid-brain. The SCN is the key to sustaining the ‘circadian’ rhythm in the body and is largely influenced by the absorption of sun rays. I kept watching the Sun with all the gratitude oozing for the life force that it was emanating.

An aware being is fearless while gazing at the sun, as its rays are vital for awakening the star portals in the brain. Nature’s protection is always available when we cross the thresholds of fear and mental conditioning. I am saying this from a personal experience of my sojourns in high altitude without any protective gear. This is the science of ‘Surya Vigyan’ and blessed are those beings who master this art of absorbing the most enriching photonic beams. 

Sitting on the steps of this magnificent ‘Kasar Devi’ temple felt like a homecoming. The Mother had wrapped us gently with her boundless compassion and there is no better feeling than basking in that magnanimity of flow. The Mother always surprises us with her mystical revelations. Meanwhile ‘Ina’, Sathish Kakal’s son took my picture on his mobile while sitting on the steps of the temple. A distinct photonic transmission passing through me was appreciably captured on the lens. I have shared this picture for those who understand the difference between the Sun’s rays (prakasha) and the gracious cosmic band of photonic transmission called ‘Pratikasha’. I called our friends to sit next to me for a group picture. The next bunch of pictures that were shot did not have any hint of the photonic band passing through us. Such events reiterate that grace is all about timing and we cannot demand it.

My eyes wandered again and spotted a signboard pointing to a cave. I gravitated towards it and found a space under a huge hanging rock. It was not really a cave by its structure. The board indicated that the phenomenal Swami Vivekananda had meditated at this space in 1890 and received a rare transmission.

The cave was bare and only a piece of a torn rug was the only seating available. I settle down quickly and carried no specific intent as I closed my eyes and held a deep breath. What could I have expected from this quaint open cave? In a flash of a moment, the divine inner eye in the mid-brain instantly opened itself to reveal a sparkling blue ball of light hovering over the head. The body began to tingle immensely in response as it became a witness to a sparkling celestial download. The blue ball burst open and a stream of etheric light descended through the ‘Dashamadwara’, the open portal in the crown. The body quivered briefly and realigned itself to accept the gracious download.

One of the signs of any divine intervention is observed by the impact it has on the ‘Anandamaya Kosha, the bliss sheath. Our body has a sacred repository of bliss neurotransmitters like ‘Anandamide’, and a range of contributors to the ecstatic states which include-‘Oxytocin’, ‘Nitrous oxide’, ‘Serotonin’, ‘Dopamine’ and ‘Phenethylamine’ that unleash along the ‘endocannabinoid’ channels and its receptors in the brain, organs, connective tissues, glands and immune cells. Most of us are content by seeking a gentle rush of ‘Anandamide’ from a piece of dark chocolate, black truffle mushroom, fruits and dark pepper. However, a ‘Grace’ induced bliss wave streams through our spinal channel, veins, nerves, and nadis and are crucial for integrating the body. The deep realization is that it reinforces the crucial ‘memory’ of our true nature. This is a profound link that chaffs out the difference between the existential feel-good factor versus remembering our origin, and the connection with the source. One of the deepest reminders is our spiritual journey is that –A moment in realization is more profound than a lifetime of experiences. I have lived by this statement and the attuning discernment between realization and experiences.  In that one significant moment in this event, the realization of the ever-ready gracious transmission available to any deserving being was so powerfully evident. One cannot straightaway arrive at the conclusion of how such gracious events occur.



Alignment is our core responsibility and it will pave the pathway to the realization that this life is not about any attainment but dissolving all that we are not. We have to shed the drama, trauma, toxins and karmic memories that confine us as ordinary strugglers.

It is a revelation that points out that Calibration and Celebration are sacredly linked. A momentary bliss cannot liberate us. Access to Bliss is our birthright, but we are enchanted by the pull of the dark. Hence it takes a ‘humongous’ effort to sustain the ‘constant integrated awareness’ and purification processes that dissolve all the ego-conflicts, illusions and toxins. This will take lifetimes of sustained intensity. How else can one explain that one moment in the cave which triggered a phenomenal cosmic download without the need for any special intent, prayer, preparation, alignment, devotional chant or any ritual to seek that gracious download? I am inspired to write this as it will help a genuine aspirant on the path. Not everyone is keen to take up the summit path of liberation. Enlightenment is granted to deserving ones who have the courage, intent to take on the intense responsibility. It empowers one to serve selflessly, unconditionally, tirelessly and timelessly. The more we immerse, we realize that Mastery is defined by the ability to convert intent into action. Gracious downloads happen when we least expect it and awakens us from the pull of Maya.  The divine encounter at Kasar Devi Cave is an exemplary effect of a pure instant ‘plugin’ of Shiva into the Bindu Chakra in our crown. The event lasted an entire glorious minute and that is good enough a gift that I will always cherish eternally.

A moment later, I opened my eyes to our world and was excited to welcome my friend Sathish and his family to experience this exotic magnetic cave. I did not have to give them any explanations. In about ten minutes of meditation, they were basking in the light transmissions. My friend’s feedback summarized what an impact meditating in a Himalayan cave has on an aspirant. He was overwhelmed as he stated, “Now I know why people meditate in the Himalayas. It is the first time I really experienced meditative bliss and my whole body was immersed in it”. 

We basked in this magnificent ambience in pure gratitude and later drove down to the Binsar Valley. The memory of Kasar Devi encounter will always remain an inspiration to upscale our body so that we can deserve more profound gracious transmissions.
