Nada Brahma-The Purest Access to Heightened Sonic Awareness
Consciousness is all that exists and we are living in an open-eyed dream and our unique reality that is compounded by limitations of thoughts, ignorance, ideals, beliefs, patterns, conventions and rigid protocols which have contributed to our inability to celebrate the pure, divine music of the universe. We can crack through the limitations and attain our purest state of absorption. We welcome genuine aspirants on the path of highest awareness of Nada Yoga to an intensive exploration, experience and elevation. Nada is the science of the ‘sound of silence’. Every particle vibrates at a certain signature frequency. The sound that emanates may or may not be audible to our sensory instrument is calibrated to an audibility range. The Nada is purest ‘unmanifested cosmic sound, where ‘na’ stands for prana, ‘da’ stands for Agni or heat energy. It signifies the cosmic sound energy. The pathway to access this sound of silence is through purification, calibration, detoxification, culturing of our sensory instrument to access its heightened awareness.
The path of Nada Brahma as guided by Maha Yogi Dr Pradeep Ullal is a creative process and not limited to any classroom techniques. To plunge into depths of awareness, one needs to be prepared to organically ascend into the purity of breath, thought, tonality, melody, rhythm, instrumental calibration so that we can be in a state of absorption of the cosmic sounds and music in innermost silence. Nada Yoga enables us to gradually feel and grasp the intrinsic state of an integrated inner and outer universe. We tap into an awareness of accessing the vibrancies of nature in its living or non-living entities.

Assessment of Aspirant
Every being is unique and we are not measuring or comparing anyone. However, we assess the impact of persona, environment, culture, education, habits and lifestyle so that we can help the aspirant to attain faster results in the purification process. We understand everyone is at a different stage of evolution and when a ready being arrives with deep clarity to surrender to awareness, it becomes easier for us to help them to calibrate their instrument to attain purest celebration of blissful flow. Every program is unique and customized and hence there are no rigid classroom methods we deploy. We understand that the time allowed for an aspirant to blossom in awareness is subject to openness, readiness and surrender to the higher self.
Here are some basic ways that we assess every aspirant for Nada Yoga Program
- Record routinely used voice samples of aspirants and register its tonality, frequency, scales that it can access without distortion.
- Study the depth of connection and the inherent relationship with nature, sounds, music, people, emotion, food.
- Assess the state of health, calibration of nadis, flow of prana,
- Record the intent, desires, goals of each aspirant.
Daily Intensive Practices
The Science of Nada Brahma practice is expressed through vocal precision and phonetic articulation. We accept that none of us are perfect and there is no rigid idealism to follow. However, the design of our bodily instrument is through precise cosmic sounds, chants and musical pieces. This cannot be ignored as a sound board will display that the dust will arrange itself into sacred geometric patterns in response to the sound of Sanskrit hymns. One will have to progressively culture the voice to rise above the limitations posed by regional accents, and dialects as the nada yoga sounds are so precise that distorted utterance would change the meaning of the word. Hence the focus is to attain calibrated enunciation known as ‘Uccharana’ (which means a way of accessing higher flow). Sanskrit language is meant to be soothing to hear and meant to calibrate the neuron pathways in the brain.
The term ‘Sanskrit’ is derived from the conjoining of the prefix ‘Sam’ meaning ‘samyak’ that indicates ‘entirely’, and ‘Krit’ that indicates ‘done’. Thus, the name indicates ‘completely done’ in terms of communication, reading, hearing, and the use of vocabulary to transcend and express a thought, idea feeling and emotion. We will practice some profound Sanskrit words that can shift the field of awareness and enhance the state of receptivity.
Tools used to enhance sensory awareness
- Intensive Chanting sessions with varying tonal pitches to calibrate the nadis and chakras to its heightened awareness.
- Fine tuning listening ability by tuning into the sonic details emerging from playing melodious and rhythmic masterpieces in high resolution uncompressed formats on a High-Resolution Manley Stingray (Vaccum tube based Audiophile-grade Amplifier) and Paradigm Studio Reference speakers. The quality of sound that emerges from such a profound set up ignites every cell of the body to soak in the grandness of the pure musical permeation.
- Enriching neuron network by tuning into different ragas based melodious music and world music available at the extensive world music library at kevala Foundation.
- Listening to nature sounds and witnessing the fine tuned awareness that arises from absorbing it.
- Absorbing sound frequencies of calibrated Tuning forks to attune seven major chakras along the spine.
- Intensive Breathwork to cleanse the nadis and preparing it for absorbing the nada transmissions.
- Identifying with our signature vocal tonality and ways to culture it to attain desired frequency shifts.
Articulation Practices
The passive place of articulation is the place on the more stationary part of the vocal tract where the articulation occurs and can be anywhere from the lips, upper teeth, gums, or roof of the mouth to the back of the throat. Although it is a continuum, there are several contrastive areas so languages may distinguish consonants by articulating them in different areas, but few languages contrast two sounds within the same area unless there is some other feature which contrasts as well. The following areas are contrastive:
- The upper lip (labial)
- The upper teeth, either on the edge of the teeth or inner surface (dental)
- The alveolar ridge, the gum line just behind the teeth (alveolar)
- The back of the alveolar ridge (post-alveolar)
- The hard palate on the roof of the mouth (palatal)
- The soft palate further back on the roof of the mouth (velar)
- The uvula hanging down at the entrance to the throat (uvular)
- The throat itself, a.k.a. the pharynx (pharyngeal)
- The epiglottis at the entrance to the windpipe, above the voice box (epiglottal)
